ALLEVIATE

Working to alleviate poverty in underserved communities.

At the Ella Initiative, we believe that the best way to eradicate poverty is by working with women, who can in turn bring resources and wisdom to her own family and children. Working to provide basic services that alleviate poverty is a cornerstone of our work, as we prioritize aiding the unpaid and underrecognized economic contributions by women.

public
resources

We donate public resources to women to supplement their contributions to their families.

Groceries, toiletries, educational items.

MENTAL HEALTH
FIRST

Those who are facing serious challenges, such as poverty or healing from trauma, can not be empowered until basic needs are addressed.

That's why we take a mental-health-first approach to economic empowerment, bringing basic services to those who need it in underserved communities.

A Community
EFFECT

The effect of the work we do with women trickles down to their families and children, enriching entire communities.

According to UN Women, addressing the needs of women is one of the best ways to empower local economies.

SUSTAINABLE
RESILIENCE

Women who are served through our programs will receive basic items or services, and will then

participate in our ELLAVATE program, continuing to work on their mental health and sustainability.
